Located in Ancram, NY, Midwinter Farms was founded on February 1, 2013 by restaurateur Antonio Gomez to raise the food that would be served at his restaurants in New York City.
The farm is managed by two dedicated farmers who are raising livestock, keeping bees, cultivating the soil, and managing the forests using natural and sustainable farming methods.
The farm is currently producing eggs, pasture-raised chicken, beef and pork, honey, maple syrup along with a bounty of herbs and seasonal vegetables.

The Farm’s founding date corresponds with Imbolc — marking a midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox. It is an important date in the beginning of the agricultural year or the farming season.
